About Me

Hello beautiful mamas. I am Lama Zaatari, proud Lebanese-Canadian living in Montreal area, mom of two and a former medical surgical nurse!
Passionate, empathetic, sensitive in nature, I have always found myself supporting my friends and family during their pregnancy and postpartum journey, so being a doula was just a missing piece of me that I finally found. So, I got trained in Birth and Postpartum Doula at Doula School Canada!
Being a mom and a former nurse have taught me a lot and provided me with knowledge and depth in childbirth.
My approach is grounded on emotional, physical and informational support through active listening, providing you with coping techniques and evidence based information to ensure that you feel heard and supported throughout your journey.
Having a calm birthing and postpartum journey is my top priority.
I am certified in
Lactation for birth workers, IPAC, Food Handling and CPR-Level C and a member of the Association of Ontario Doulas, to care for you holistically!
I provide personalized and non bias care; hence I understand that every individual is unique and special!

A doula is not just a person that attends birth, a doula is a supporter, nurturer, an advocate and a teacher

Researches concluded that the presence of a doula:

Decreases:
-The chances of having a cesarean,
-Labor time
-The use of pain medication
-The risk of low APGAR score for baby

Increases:
-The chance of having a spontaneous vaginal birth,
-Birth satisfaction
